Everybody Wants to go to Japan

January 15, 2010 § Leave a comment

I was only there for about three days, but I totally flipped for Japan. I loved the polite culture and stunning landscapes, but what struck me most was the high level of craftsmanship and presentation that I saw everywhere, from temples to soba noodle shops. Being in Japan really gave me the itch to get back into drawing and design.

The dead-on fake food…

who wouldn’t want to eat here?

the ramshackle charm that I love anywhere…

awesome color palette

Even the manhole covers are beautiful. The Japanese are awesome at adding value to things through craftsmanship.
